Glenlivet & Tomintoul

The area is remarkably beautiful and unspoilt. Primary schooling is at Glenlivet Primary and secondary education is at Speyside High in Aberlour. There is a free transport service to both. Aberlour (11 miles) provides a range of services including garage, hotel, butcher, general store, post office, 3 churches, hospital and health centre, community centre including a swimming pool, tennis court and bowling green. The area is ideal for access to the Cairngorm Mountain Range, Glenlivet Estate with its summer and winter sporting facilities, Mountain Bike Trails, the Malt Whisky Trail and fishing on the Rivers Spey and Avon. Directions

Coming from Tomintoul direction just past Auchnarrow on the B9008 turn right towards Chapeltown of Glenlivet, if approaching from Glenlivet / Dufftown turn left at this junction. Continue on for approximately 900m and you will see a steel farmers gate on the left hand side with track beyond ( there is a small black postbox on the fence), take this gate and follow the track for about 400m and Refreish is beyond a further gate on the right hand side. Please leave all gates as you find them and ensure the gate at Refreish is firmly closed.
